Are Our Schools Amply Funded Now? Impacts of the State Budget on Seattle Schools (11/30)

This summer, the Legislature passed a budget to increase funding for Washington State schools in compliance with the Washington State Supreme Court’s McCleary Decision.  On Wednesday, the Court issued an order declaring that the State is not on track to meet the September 2018 deadline.  So, what happens next?   How will this impact the Seattle Public Schools budget?  How will the budget affect property taxes?

Find out more about these issues and any questions you may have about school funding at the Seattle School Funding Forum on Thursday, November 30th at 7:00pm at the Eckstein Auditorium.  In attendance will be Representative Gerry Pollett and Senator David Frockt of the 46th District, and representatives from the Seattle Schools Budget Office.  Presentations will be followed by a Q&A.  This event is sponsored by the Eckstein PTSA.
