Squirrel House Rock: Save Our Squirrels

Saturday night’s Squirrel House Rock: Save our Squirrels benefit concert event was a huge success! We surpassed our goal and raised more than $111,000 BEFORE matching (please submit your matching if your company has that sweet perk)! Our event photographer is sending over the pics soon, which we will post up here, but we wanted to get the good news out asap!

Saturday night was our largest attended event ever with 200 guests! Awesome to see former families out again to support our squirrels! Love that SPE continues to be important to so many people. And huge thanks to our staff band, The Sand Point SuperFonics, and local comedian, Cara Rosellini!

Thank you to everyone who supported the event through item donations, procuring, attending the event, and spreading the word to family and friends to support and/or attend.

Did you miss out and want to support our squirrels? You can!

Thank you to our incredible sponsors who helped underwrite the event. We had the most we’ve ever had before!

How Are Your Paper Folding Skills?

Here is a fun little job that would really help our Squirrels out and save our School Nurse and Office Staff lots of time! We need a volunteer to make ice packs for the health room. The ice packs are made by placing folded, wet paper towels into baggies. They are then placed into the school freezer and ready for the next “ouch” that comes along. School Nurse Melissa provides the paper towels and the baggies. The supplies are located on her desk at SPE and ready for a volunteer this week. Don’t forget to sign in and count your time toward earning your cool Squirrel Squad gear!
